Lucas' Halloween Costume

I made Lucas a Brobee (from Yo Gabba Gabba) costume for Halloween.  He didn't like the sleeves in the first pic so we rolled them up.  Gotta keep a two year old happy!  Katie had seen the costume on Pinterest.  Someone had made it from a hoodie and pants pattern.  The pattern was discontinued, but I was able to find it on Ebay.  So glad I did.  I just winged the face and horns.

Snowflakes

This image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored her with Copic markers.  The snowflakes were cut with the Silhouette and covered with Stickles.  The digital papers are from Echo Park.

Angel and Baby

I'm trying to get started on mu Christmas cards, so that may be all you see for a while.  This image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. I think I bought it last year, but never used it.   I colored it with Copics.  I cleaned my desk off before I listed them.  Oh, well!  I used a die set from Spellbinders.  Someday, I will go and find out what each set is.  I didn't save any paperwork for them.  I realized after I photographed the card that I forgot to color the lips.  They are colored now, but I don't feel like photographing again.  I spend so much time focusing on the skin that I forget the lips quite often.  I actually finished the last two cards inside and out.
I'm on a roll!

I colored this with Copic markers.  I did the distressing with Distresses Inks.

Finished off my basket of unfinshed cards!

I finally finished all my unfinished cards!  I had forty-seven cards that I had made for design teams that I had not finished the inside of.  Some had been in my stash of unfinished cards for three years.  I finally got them done, greetings and all.  Now I might actually be able to make one for fun.  That is, after Lucas' Halloween costume and another beanbag chair.  I best get busy!

Fitztown - Fall Colors

I used a Fitztown image from a set of images called Vintage.  They are available in either colored or black and white. I needed a quick card this week and it was wonderful to have this great image available all ready to use.  I think it  makes a great masculine card.  If the images are not in the store yet you can write to: sales@fitztown.com and supply a link to this post.  They will be happy to help you.  I absolutely love the corrugated paper.  I have used it a few times recently and love the look.

Cardz 4 Guyz - No Patterened Paper

I made this card for this week's challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz, No Patterned Paper.  I used the Sketch below, but didn't realize that I cut the curves on the wrong side of the paper.  Good thing it was not a sketch challenge. The image is from The Graphics Fairy.  The belt buckle is from Tim Holtz.

QKR - Things with Wings

This week's challenge at QKR Stampede is Things with Wings.  I chose this bluejay image available here.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  The beautiful digital paper is from Carina Gardner.  I used quite a bit of pastel chalks with this image to give that old look.  The fall leaves were cut with the Silhouette.  They are also chalked which really turned out nice, it just doesn't show in the photo.

Fitztown - Anything Goes

This week's challenge at Fitztown is everybody's favorite, Anything Goes.  I used the image Fae 22.  I have been having lots of problems coloring, My vision is messed up right now.  I had some bleeding into my eye and it left black streaks in my vision.  Fortunately, the blood will be absorbed in a while and my vision should be back to normal.  It the mean time, it's not painful, just a nuisance.

I colored the image with Copic markers.  The digital papers are from Tin Teddy on Etsy.  They have some nice papers, but getting them downloaded is much more difficult that with other merchandisers.  I don't think I will buy again just because of that.  I have been hoarding this hand dyed silk ribbon that I bought in several colors years ago from Really Reasonable ribbon.  I finally decided to use a piece.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

QKR - Add a Button

The fun challenge this week at QKR is "Add a Button."  I used this cute bunny, available here.  The digital papers are from the Carina Gardner Evening Blooms collection.  The large flower  button is from my grandmother's button collection.

The doily is from Cheery Lynn Dies.  I have so much trouble with this die.  I cut a doily with wax paper to make sure the die releases so that problem is solved.  I cannot get it to cut the center of the doily all the way through.  I must have put it through twenty times.  I kept changing he position of the metal plate, added a shim of paper, nothing worked.  I got an imprint of the center, but no cut.

This is the first time I've tried the dot background.  I still need a lot of practice with it!

Cardz 4 Guyz - Anything but a Card

This week's challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz is "Anything but a Card."  That kind of challenge usually sets me off into a panic and this time was no different.  The night before it was due I still had no idea what I could do.  I remembered I had colored this tiger from Fitztown and hadn't used it yet so I figured I would make a tag with it.  I found the paper online at CanStock Photo.  That paper really makes the tag for me.I colored the image with Copics. Thr grasses are cut with the Silhouette.

All of my challenge entries disappeared again.  It seems to happen every time I check my blog with my cell phone.  Ticking me off!   I am trying to get all the challenges back.  Sorry if I miss some,

QKR - Swimming

QKR's challenge this week is "Swimming."  These images are available here and here.  The digital paper and elements are from Echo Park.

I have to apologize to all my dear cardland friends.  I haven't been very organized lately and haven't gotten to visit blogs as I should.  I am back to work now and that has thrown me for a loop.  Plus, it's monsoon season and that makes me absolutely miserable.  Our cooling system doesn't work when there is humidity in the air and we have had tons of humidity lately.  So here we are in the Arizona desert in July with almost no cooling.  Doesn't exactly make you look forward to doing anything.  It will get better.  Monsoon season only lasts a few weeks.

Cardz 4 Guyz Sketch Challenge

The challenge this week at Cardz 4 Guyz is to follow the sketch.  I think I came pretty close.

Guest Designer-Through the Craftroom Door

I am a Guest Designer this week for Through the Craftroom Door!  The challenge is Anything Goes and this week the sponsor is Fitztown.  My favorite!  I chose this amazing Fitztown image, available here.  Check it out.  There are quite a few different country scenes available.

I found myself addicted to getting this done, to the dismay of my husband.  Every time I could spare a minute I was back coloring.  I really enjoyed seeing it come together.  It is larger than my normal size card,  it's 5 1/2 by 8 1/2.  Fortunately, I do have this size envelope so mailing won't be a problem.  The larger size made it much easier to do the detail.

QKR - Vacation

The challenge this week at QKR Stampede is "Vacation."  I used  the image, Enjoying the Sun, available here. I definitely had no mojo while working on this.  I'm feeling entirely burned out.  That could be because I couldn't sleep and it's two thirty in the morning.  Oh well, it is what it is!

I really wanted to tear up some sand paper for the beach sand, but if I woke my husband up at two for a piece of sandpaper, that would not go over well!  I ended up tearing up cardstock, but it's very hard to see the layers in the photo.  The digital paper and images are from Echo Park.

Almost done with March cards!

I used an image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She is colored with Copics, pencils and pastels.  This is the third time I attempted colori...
